Recently, we have hosted two researchers specialising in rock coast geomorphology.

On Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 of May, the EcoC2S consortium gathered in the Marche Region (Italy) for the first in-person project meeting, hosted by our partners from the Università Politecnica delle Marche.

On May 14, 2026, a working meeting of the TCS AH Project Consortium was held at the Institute of Geological Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow. The meeting was dedicated to summarizing the project’s activities and activity plans for 2026.

The EGU General Assembly conference took place on 3-8 May, 2026 in Vienna. This year’s edition was attended by, among others: employees of the Department of Seismic Research, belonging to the Seismic Data Imaging and Inversion Team.

This year’s Arctic spring is going down in history as one of the most unpredictable and challenging for science.

We are pleased to inform, that Fourth International Conference on Arctic Research Planning (ICARP IV) Final Outcomes Report was published during the Arctic Science Summit Week on March 2026 in Aarhus, Denmark. This report defines research priorities in the Arctic for the coming decade and serves as a foundation for preparations for the Fifth International Polar Year (IPY-5), planned for 2032–2033.

Research conducted by Dr. Sylwia Dytłow from the Institute of Geophysics PAS has been recognized as one of the four most interesting and media-impactful contributions out of 20,000 submissions to the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2026 – one of the largest scientific conferences in the world.
