The International Geological Workshop SvalGeoBase II will be held on board the Maritime University research vessel Horyzont II from 3rd to 9th September. The event was organised by the Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in cooperation with Uppsala University. It is coordinated by Krzysztof Michalski and Piotr Głowacki from IG PAS and Jarosław Majka from Uppsala University.

Last week in the ‘Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society’ was published ‘State of the Climate 2023’ report. This is an annual study on the state of the Earth’s climate, published since 2011.
