04.04.2023 Post Radioactive contamination in Svalbard Is the snow on Svalbard’s glaciers contaminated with radionuclides? It was studied by an international group of scientists, including Dr. Bartłomiej Luks and Dr. Adam Nawrot from the Polar Research and Marine Department of the Institute of Geophysics PAS. The group’s work has just been published in the highly ranked Journal of Hazardous Materials.

20.03.2023 Post Course on Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles in Svalbard (UAV4Svalbard) This autumn, SIOS offers a training course on how to effectively use UAVs in Svalbard research. The training will be delivered by UAV experts from SIOS member institutions, international researchers, and experts from the industry.
