The conference will contribute to the evolving European policy debate on safeguarding academic freedom and strengthening the independence of research, particularly within the framework of the forthcoming ERA Act. By fostering dialogue among key stakeholders, it aims to identify concrete approaches to reinforcing Europe’s research sovereignty and enabling sustainable, mutually beneficial academic exchange — including through enhanced mechanisms for brain circulation.

Panel discussion, moderated by Andrzej Rychard (Polish Academy of Sciences and Stefan Batory Foundation), on the conference theme with:
