This year the conference had especially international character. It was attended by 60 scientists from 20 countries. We were honoured with the presence of the outstanding, world-renowned experts in the field of hydraulics and environmental hydrodynamics; Prof. PETER DAVIES, University of Dundee, UK; Prof. HEIDI NEPF, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA; Prof. BERNHARD STATZNER, Laboratory of Ecology of Natural and Man-impacted Hydrosystems (LEHNA), France and Prof. ANDREA MARION, University of Padova, Italy, who together with Prof. Paweł Rowiński chaired the School. During the three hard-working days of conference, participants had opportunity to listen to 4 lectures and 30 presentations. All of the presented papers will be published in a special issue – GeoPlanet Book Series. This year’s edition of the School, was held in the beautiful and hospitable Żelechów Palace.
