On May 10, the 28th Science Picnic of Polish Radio and the Copernicus Science Centre took place at the PGE National Stadium in Warsaw. GeoPlanet – the Earth and Planetary Research Center – was proud to be among the participants.

This year’s Picnic, which attracted over 40,000 visitors, was held under the theme “What a Cosmos!”. At the GeoPlanet booth, located in the Future Zone and staffed by nearly 50 people, visitors could examine meteorites under a microscope, learn about satellite observations of the Baltic Sea, look through an amateur telescope, or see how impact craters are formed by meteorite collisions. For the youngest guests, there were organized space-themed arts and crafts activities.

We warmly encourage you to view the photo gallery from the GeoPlanet booth!
