On 27th January 2026 took place another seminary in the Institute of Geophysics PAS.The seminar was devoted to the presentation of selected topics from the long-term collaboration between colleagues from Department of Seismic Research and JAMSTEC, focusing on crustal-scale seismic imaging.
We were especially pleased to host our guests from JAMSTEC, Dr. Gou Fujie and Dr. Ryuta Arai, who also delivered their presentations.

The following people presented their presentations during the seminar:
- Gou Fujie: Studies of the Seismogenic Subduction Zone: From the Incoming Oceanic Plate to the Back-Arc Basin
- Ryuta Arai: Seismic imaging of the ridge subduction in Hyuga-nada
- Toktam Zand: Integrated OBS–Streamer Imaging Algorithms and Numerical Advances for High-Resolution Crustal-Scale Imaging
- Xiaole Zhou: Topography-dependent first-arrival traveltime and slope tomography of redatumed OBS data: Theory and application
- Yousef Amirzadeh:Multitechnic Deep Seismic Imaging Approaches for Imaging of Crust–Mantle Structures in the Outer-Rise Region of the Japan Trench.
- Andrzej Górszczyk: Structural Characteristics of Subducting Oceanic Ridges in the Eastern Nankai Trough Region Derived from FWI of OBS Data
