Measurement of the velocity field of a flowing fluid. The device is installed in the Laboratory of Hydrodynamic Micromodels.

Technical data

The system consists of (1) a two-pulse laser (532 nm), energy per pulse 50 mJ, range up to 50 Hz, (2) light sheet optics, (3) an optical arm, (4) a PIV camera, 4.8 Mpix with optics, (5) a synchronizer, (6) software for data acquisition and analysis (Dantec Dynamics Studio)
