Wyjątkowe sprawozdanie z działalności statutowej 2019

Osiągnięcia naukowe oraz plany na przyszłość zostały zaprezentowane podczas 4-dniowej sesji on-line.

Po raz pierwszy odbiory tematów statutowych odbywały się z udziałem Międzynarodowej Doradczej Grupy Ekspertów (International Advisory Board) w składzie:

  1. Prof. Barbara Romanowicz, Berkeley Seismological Laboratory, USA
  2. Prof. Paolo Papale, INGV, Włochy
  3. Prof. John Ludden, Heriot-Watt University, Wielka Brytania
  4. Prof. Kuvvet Atakan, University of Bergen, Norwegia
  5. Prof. Jochen Aberle, Braunschweig University, Niemcy
  6. Prof. Peter Spichtinger, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Niemcy

Zadaniem Zespołu Ekspertów, powołanego zarządzeniem pani dyrektor prof. Beaty Orleckiej-Sikory, jest przekazywanie Dyrektorowi Instytutu opinii na temat obszarów badań i rozwoju prowadzonych w Instytucie, które mogą zapewnić realizację misji IGF PAN, w tym również wytyczyć kierunki rozwoju, umożliwiające w perspektywie wzmacnianie pozycji naukowej i badawczej Instytutu. 

Odbiory były też okazją do uhonorowania wyróżniających się pracowników naukowych i administracyjnych. Nagrody dyrektora za aktywność naukową trafiły do prof. Michała Malinowskiego, prof. Michaela Nonesa, dr. Dariusza Baranowskiego oraz prof. Rafała Szaniawskiego. Wyróżnienia powędrowały do prof. Jacka Kamińskiego, prof. Marzeny Osuch oraz dr. Artura Szkopa. Zespołową nagrodę za organizację dydaktyki oraz utworzenie i uruchomienie szkół doktorskich odebrali prof. Piotr Głowacki, prof. Krzysztof Kochanek i Agata Szczegielniak-Kwaśniak. Wśród nagrodzonych pracowników administracyjnych znaleźli się Marcin Zimny i Grażyna Kłósek. Szczególne słowa podziękowania i uznania Pani Dyrektor skierowała do prof. Romana Teisseyre'a oraz prof. Janusza Borkowskiego, którzy po wieloletniej, cenionej karierze naukowej przeszli na emeryturę.

Moderatorem sesji sprawozdawczej 2019 był prof. Mariusz Majdański- Z-ca dyrektora ds. naukowych. Pracownicy naukowi prezentowali swoje dokonania w podziale na 4 główne obszary badawcze:
