From 8-11 September 2026, Raveena Nagarajan, PhD student at the Institute of Geophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences, participated in the 5th IEEE GRSS IADF School on Computer Vision for Earth Observation, held at the University of Sannio in Benevento, Italy.

Organised by the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) Image Analysis and Data Fusion Technical Committee, the school focused on the use of computer vision, machine learning and artificial intelligence for Earth observation. The programme combined lectures with practical sessions covering topics such as SAR image analysis, change detection in optical satellite time series, Earth foundation models, and foundation models for remote sensing.
