Editorial Office
The Institute of Geophysics publishes the following two journals:
Acta Geophysica
Acta Geophysica is an internationally recognized quarterly journal published, as Acta Geophysica Polonica, since 1952. In 2006 it underwent a major change, including the title. It is now published in cooperation with Springer Verlag and Versita publishers. The Institute is the owner of the journal, responsible for all editorial work. Since 2007, the journal has been covered by the Science Citation Index-Expanded (Thomson Scientific, Philadelphia).
The journal publishes papers in all fields of general, theoretical and applied geophysics. The Editorial Board gathers outstanding specialists
in various branches of Earth sciences. Some special issues are fully devoted to particular topics.

Publications of the Institute of Geophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences
Publications of the Institute of Geophysics PAS is the other editorial series. It has been issued since 1962. There are the following subject series:
A - Physics of the Earth's Interior
B - Seismology
C - Geomagnetism
D - Physics of the Atmosphere
E - Hydrology (formerly Water Resources)
M - Miscellanea
As to the contents, the issues vary in character; some contain the processed results of observations and measurements from the Institute's stations,
and some contain selected and revised contributions to conferences organized or coorganized by the Institute.
Of special importance are issues with the subtitle Monographic Volume; these contain monographic treatises or topical selections of papers
devoted to various geophysical problems. Some issues are published as books in hard cover.

Geophysical Monographs
Another field of activity of the Editorial Office is the typesetting of geophysical monographs written or edited by scientists from the Institute
and published by world leading publishing companies, in particular Springer Verlag.
