Institute of Geophysics, P.A.S. (IGFPAS) is a scientific institution that represents the mainstream of Polish research on physics of the Earth. IGFPAS is the exclusive institution in Poland that monitors the global geophysical fields in Seismology, Geomagnetism and of selected elements of Physics of the Atmosphere.
The Institute currently carries research in the following scientific fields:

• Seismology
• Geomagnetism
• Physics of the Earth's Interior
• Physics of the atmosphere
• Hydrology
• Polar research
