1986 - MSc, Faculty of Physics, Warsaw University (Gravitational waves in the Universe filled with massive, noninteracting particles)
1993 - PhD, Institute of Geophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences (Fault zone dynamics. Evolution patterns)
2005 - Post-doctoral degree (habilitation), Institute of Geophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences (Interactive dynamics of a heterogeneous seismic source. A model with the slip-dependent friction)

Employment:

1988 till present at the Instititute of Geophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences;
1994 - assistant professor;
2005 - associate professor;
2008 - head of the Earth Interior's Dynamics Laboratory.

Experience

January 1998 - December 1999: at Earthquake Research Institute, The University of Tokyo, JSPS fellowship.

August 1991 - August 1992: at Institute of Theoretical Physics, Stuttgart University, DAAD fellowship.
